Christmas is just around the corner, which means it’s the time of year where people are probably asking you the age old question “what do you want for Christmas?” Usually I either know exactly what I want, or I have no idea whatsover!

Every year I like to put together a little list of ideas for my husband or family members who ask what I want. I thought it would be fun to share the list here in case you are making your own list or thinking of good ideas to get for other people!

1. Money or gift cards for an experience (in my case, for Disney World!)

I am definitely the type of person who prefers experiences over physical items. Nick and I are going to Disney World in 2020, so the main thing on my wish list is Disney gift cards or money to go towards our trip. This money can help pay for special dining experiences, souvenirs, etc. Other good experience ideas are movie theater gift cards, money to put towards play/musical tickets, a yearly zoo or museum pass, etc. The memories will last forever and you won't have to worry about adding more clutter to your house!

I like to have at least one large, casual purse/bag that I can take with me on the go. I really like this one because it is gray and would match most everything I wear. It has a fold over top so I don’t have to fuss with zippers if I’m trying to get something in or out. I am also hoping to take this bag go Disney World if I get it! It was actually recommended as a good park bag by Shannon Albert from Walt Disney World Prep School. I absolutely love her podcast for Disney planning, so I trust her opinion on this bag!

I wasn’t sure if I’d ever jump on the wireless headphones train (who wants another thing to remember to charge?), but here I am! I’m sure there are much nicer (and more expensive) ones than these I could ask for, but I want to get a more basic pair to make sure I will use them. I think they will be best for when I’m cleaning the house and listening to music, a podcast, or an audiobook because I won’t have to worry about cords getting in the way. I love the color of these particular headphones and that they fold up into a nice little pouch to travel with.

Earlier this year, I happened upon this comic series called Strange Planet. They are about these little alien creatures who do daily activities but the way they describe what they do is both strange and hilarious. Later I found out that the author actually went to the same high school as one of my friends and is from the area in Ohio where we now live! I genuinely laugh at almost every comic, so I was so excited to see the author was publishing a book of them. It has already made the Wall Street best sellers list, and I understand why! This is a great gift for nerdy and/or quirky people in your life.

I know, I know...I keep talking about Disney! I really want a pair of minnie ears to wear at Disney, but I don’t want to pay the exorbitant amount they cost in the parks. I found this cute and affordable option online...they cost less than $10! Since I won't be wearing these outside of Disney World (except maybe for playing dressup with my daughter) I would rather go the less expensive but still cute route!

I have never been a huge jewelry person, but recently I have enjoyed having more earrings to choose from. I do have some simple options and some more ornate, but I want a classic, timeless option that will go with whatever I’m wearing. I think these halo ones would be perfect!

7. Etsy Prints

I love Etsy so much...if I’m not careful I can spend too much money on there! Sometimes it's fun to buy some of these digital downloads and print and frame them myself to save money. I thought this would be a nice low budget idea for family and friends...and there are so many beautiful options to choose from!

Lipstick is something I’ve never really been very comfortable wearing. Either I can’t find the right shade, it smears too much, or it’s too intense looking. A youtuber I enjoy named Blair Lamb (who has a similar style to myself) recommended this type so I thought I’d give it a try! It’s a lot more subtle and seems easier to apply than a lot of traditional lipstick. If I get some I’ll definitely let you all know my review!

My old gray tennis shoes are on their way out, so it was definitely time to ask for a new pair. And, yes, I am hoping to wear these to Disney if I get them because they seem like they will be so comfortable and will be easy to coordinate with outfits!

I love when I have dresses I can wear to work that are super comfortable (more comfortable than wearing pants), but also make it look like I put in a lot of effort to get ready. I ordered another dress from this seller on Amazon and I loved it, so I asked for another one in a slightly different style. I have been loving the mauve color recently because it is very flattering with my skin tone, so I asked for that or red because I own almost nothing red.

Well, there you have it! That is my Christmas list for 2019. I hope it gave you some good ideas for your own list or gave you gift ideas for friends and family. Please share any other ideas in the comments!

Most of all, however, I hope that this season isn’t focused on physical gifts, but on the gifts that God has already blessed each of us with...we already have abundantly more than we deserve! Enjoy this season with your loved ones :)
